SoHONSW Contact Information

Our volunteer members donate their time to assist other owners access the latest and optimal information heritage information - minus the heritage propaganda. Unlike pro-heritage organisations who receive millions annually from tax and rate payers, SoHONSW enjoys no such government financial support.

At this stage of our evolution we are unable to provide telephone support,  but you may contact Society of Heritage Owners NSW by email [sohonsw@gmail.com]. We endeavour to respond as quickly as possible to inquiries from owners with genuine problems and a keen interest in supporting heritage reforms that benefit owners [see our FAQ page for a list of the heritage reforms we are seeking to establish whether or not you agree with them].

SoHONSW will not expend our limited volunteer and other resources on individuals or organisations we already know from our research and/or experience are opposed to our heritage reform program and/or those who derive income from a heritage speciality.  We consider their ideological and financial interests totally incompatible with our mission and we will not allow our organisations clear agenda to be hijacked.

Owners contacting us for advice, assistance or support must include in their email the following minimum information - the street address of the property with the actual or mooted heritage listing and the same of the local Council in which this property is located. This basic information allows us to interrogate online data bases for information about your property's current status, the heritage status of any surrounding properties, the history of heritage nominations in the locality, as well as enabling us to assess your Councils reputation as one with a track record of being fair to owners, middling or a Council notorious for mistreating owners and with a fanatical heritage agenda.
